Privacy policy.

What we collect, what we don't, and why. Written in plain English.

What we collect

The minimum, and only that.

DataProt does not require an account. You can browse the site, reveal codes, and click links without signing up or giving us your email.

Like most websites we log basic request data — the page you visited, the referrer, and your browser's user-agent — to keep the site running, spot abuse, and understand which pages people find useful. This is standard access log data and it isn't tied to a real-world identity.

Analytics & cookies

Aggregate numbers, not personal profiles.

We use privacy-friendly analytics to understand traffic in aggregate — how many people read a page, which store pages are popular, how visitors arrived. We do not sell personal data.

Affiliate networks may set a cookie when you click through to a retailer so the retailer can credit us for the referral. That cookie belongs to the network, not to us, and it does not identify you to DataProt.

Emails you send us

Kept in the inbox — that's it.

If you email hello@dataprot.net we keep that message in a normal mail account so we can reply. We don't add you to a marketing list.

Your rights

Access, correction, deletion.

If you're in a jurisdiction that grants you rights over data (EU, UK, California, and others), those rights apply here too. Since we don't build user profiles, in practice the most useful requests are: "please delete this email exchange" or "please tell me what you have on me."

Email hello@dataprot.net for anything privacy-related. We'll respond within one to two business days.
