DataProt tracks thousands of stores and checks every coupon before it's published. This page is about who does that work, how it's done, and how we stay independent.
DataProt is a coupons and deals site covering thousands of stores across every category — fashion, electronics, health and wellness, home, beauty, food, and travel. We'd rather verify each code properly than pile up pages of dead ones.
That means no walls of expired codes and no fake countdown timers. Every code is added by a person, tested, and re-checked. If it stops working, it comes down.
DataProt didn't begin as a coupon site. It started as a cybersecurity publication — writing about privacy, online safety, and the software people rely on to protect themselves.
That background shaped how we work — verify before you publish, document the terms plainly, and be skeptical of an easy claim. It's exactly the discipline a trustworthy deals site needs, and today we bring it to coupons across every category, not just the tech we started with.
Codes come from each brand's live promotions, added by hand — not pulled in from an automated feed that never checks whether a code still works.
We run each code through a real cart and note what it applies to and what it excludes, so the description on the page matches what you'll actually see.
Terms are spelled out simply — minimums, exclusions, whether it stacks — with no invented urgency or "100% success" theatrics.
Dead codes are removed, and every store page shows the date it was last verified. You can see the work rather than take our word for it.
DataProt is maintained by a small editorial team — the people who add, test, and update the codes you see. We publish under the team name rather than individual bylines, but the work is done by real people, and there's a real inbox behind the site when something needs fixing.
We think accountability shows up in the details more than in a masthead: the last-verified date on every store page, plain terms on every code, and a real inbox when something's wrong. That's the standard we hold ourselves to.
DataProt is free to use. We make money through affiliate commissions: when you use a link or code here and go on to buy, the retailer may pay us a share of the sale, at no extra cost to you.
That's the whole model — and it stops at the checkout. Commissions never decide which codes we publish, how we order them, or whether we mark one verified. If a code doesn't work, it comes down. A commission won't keep it up.
