Nintex, an online provider of workflow automation solutions for businesses, announced the acquisition of AssureSign, an electronic signature software, on June 2. According to a news release on Nintex’s website, the company made this step to meet its users' need for a native e-signature feature.

"We are excited to welcome e-signature leader AssureSign and its customers to our burgeoning Nintex community. AssureSign's automation technologies, like with our previous acquisitions, are well architected and will be integrated within the Nintex Process Platform over the months ahead to bring powerful and easy-to-use digital signatures to every organization that is leveraging Nintex to improve the way people work," said Nintex CEO, Eric Johnson.

Keeping in mind the requirements needed to create a centralized approach to workflow management, Nintex believes adding electronic signature software to its platform will accelerate the process management and automation of business workflows.

Digital signature software has long become an indispensable tool for businesses, especially since the COVID-19 pandemic forced businesses around the globe to start operating remotely. With Nintex’s new integration, public and private companies and organizations could enhance customer experience by offering a safer and quicker way to get or give signed approvals, for example.

Touted as the world’s leading workflow company, Nintex serves over 10,000 users, generating an annual sales revenue of over $250 million.

AssureSign, a pioneer in the field of electronic signature solutions, serves more than 100,000 monthly users in areas such as financial and insurance services. With over 500 customers and around 800 million electronic signatures executed since its launch in 1999, the tech giant will help Nintex further assist organizations by equipping them with the latest workflow automation solutions.

This is Nintex’s fourth acquisition since 2018. Before acquiring AssureSign, Nintex made Promapp, EnableSoft, and K2 part of its process management and automation solutions.
