The independent market research firm Forrester named McAfee as a leader in the data security platform category in its Q2 2021 report. McAfee’s data protection technology, which is part of its MVISION Unified Cloud Edge portfolio, received the highest ranking from Forrester based on product offerings, strategy, and market presence.

According to the report, “McAfee supports a Zero Trust approach with a range of capabilities across data, endpoint, and cloud security, and a rich set of integrations. Customer references noted its ease of deployment and management, integrations, and breadth of capabilities (in particular, capabilities for supporting remote work and cloud use). Security buyers looking for centralized management of data protection policies across their environment, cloud security, and incident management from devices to cloud should consider McAfee a strong option.

Forrester evaluated the 11 most significant data security vendors and their products based on 26 criteria, followed by in-depth analysis and a detailed technical evaluation.

Amid the sharp increase in malware attacks during the COVID-19 pandemic, having top-notch and reliable antivirus software is of the utmost importance.

The head of the Data Protection team at McAfee, Graham Clarke, wrote in a blog post that the company is continuing “to innovate within our Unified Cloud Edge solution through the introduction of remote browser isolation to protect against risky websites (our ‘heavy focus in supporting security and data protection in the cloud’), which uniquely to the market allows us to continue applying DLP controls even during isolated sessions. Delivering on increased customer value through innovation isn’t just limited to new features, for instance, we continue to drive down costs through an unlimited SaaS application bundle.”

McAfee is a device-to-cloud global cybersecurity software company with many years of experience. Founded in 1987, the company was purchased by Intel in 2010 and operates as part of the Intel Security division.
